Default AI 200cc H/C dyno & vid

Ok guys here it is, the moment of truth.
If any one is not familiar with this projuct, please click on the link to the other post so you can get some back ground.
Quickly though it is a 355 with a street SR, AI 200 cc CNC lt-1 heads and Ai's street/strip LT-1 intake.

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=479971

I prommised to show my results from this build up good or bad and I don't think anyone will be "disapointed."

Here is a video of the pull. Crank it up if you have decent speakers, it sounds wild!

Here are the dyno graphs in SAE and STD:

I want to thank Jeff at CAM. His base mail order program did well considering it was conservative enough to ensure it was safe. With his base program it already beat my goals LOL. Jeff was heading out of town, but I got him on the phone before he left and he gave me some pointers on tuning, and told me there was plenty of room to try minor changes with lt1edit. I gave it a little timing and it picked up a little, adding some fuel helped, but I have a big lean area in the low-end that is affecting the torque curve. I am sure it'll gain there. I have limited tuning experiance so after a few sugjested changes I decided to leave it alone. I have to say that this thing is crazy. I can't wait until jeff is back to dial it in. It drives so nice, I cant believe it. I wasnt sure what I had gotten myself into when I heard it run the first time. It's all good now though. I still have all of the original equipmet & accessories: power steering, AC, Power windows, etc... I wanted a sweet street car, and thanks to the guys at AI, I finaly have what I want.

If anyone in my area wants to check it out, let me know & we can meet up and cruise around.

Very nice numbers man, and you didnt have to rev it to 7k. Very impressive in my book for a 355. IT does make me wonder about PEPE'S setup, I think hes a 383 SR with heads and cam and hes making 500RW. Makes me kind of wonder.

Sweet numbers! Can you give us specifics on the headers/exhaust setup? Timing? and cam specs?

As I have said in the past those who writeoff the stock casting intake and heads as not being capable of BIG power are those who never bothered to try. See what happens when you actually try.

Great numbers, is it just a H/C 355? Is it an AI cam as well, i have a custom cam from them and we work a lot with them and Jeff, they have great heads and really know their stuff as does Jeff (though he does love his crown). Ill be running a mail order tune from him with AI's camshaft and hopefully will make my way up to Jeff within a month to get it dyno'd, both very good companies your dealing with and your numbers reflect that. Awesome numbers man

Thanks man, it's a cam from AI. The whole topend is from AI. It's a manual. "Street" is just how aI described it to me. They called it that because it's not as aggressive as the drag race lobes, and because it's nice and drivable. I can't believe the torque curve, at 3000rpm it makes more than alot of 383's do anywhere. I think with the a/f fixed it may go over 400rwtq around 3500rpm.

I have more video I can try to get uploaded in the next few days. You should hear it in person, it sounds so mean. I'm going to put my 2otl back on it for street use and may re-dyno.

I've got hooker long tubes and a 3" dual setup I made for the track and a 2OTL I'll run on the street. With regard to timing... I will have to check the program and ask jeff if he cares if I share. As for the cam specs, I've posted enough info on cz28 to figure it out.

arent you the turbo6 guy who posted this on cz28?

It's back from Thunder, do you mind if I ask what it rolled at thunder racing? You're holding out on us man, had to be like 550 with a supervic on a SR 383 and that giant tb . Looks awesome, fiskes are sweet!

Man, I'm surprised. I thought phil was a little crazy when he said it should make at least 450rw and more like 460-480. "Hope" isnt a plan. I told them what I wanted, did what they said, and man... I dont even know what to say. Car pulls so hard, if anyone is near Cleveland you're welcome to go check it out.

It's a .030" over shortblock with the mahles, manley sportsman rods, and Ai did the whole topend. Phil was really adamant about the "details" he said would make all the difference. My old setup made me happy but wasn't "ideal" according to him & this one was done exactly like he asked. Jeff's crazy LOL, I cant wait to get down there and meet him. Thanks
