Default 93 to 94 LT1 Conversion, No Comunication Through Diagnostic Port

I converted my 93 Trans am to my 94 Camaro LT1 engine and tranny. The motor runs no problem. However I can not get my laptop to communicate with the T/A through the Diagnostic Port. It has the same color wires going into the OBD1 diagnostic port as the camaro, but no communication. Note I did switch to a different laptop since I had programed it in the camaro. So my question is:
Is the problem with the laptop, or can I not use the 93 port and wireing harness. Note the 94 and 93 connectors on the Passenger side floor were a plug and play.
Also Tuner Cat says it has not communication. The Commlog says connected but gives no information
Thanks

I will check again today, I think it may be the USB adapter. It looks like all of the OBD1 serial ports use the same data communication wire
Thanks

As far as the diagnostic port I do not know, that is why I am asking. PCM is different, which I am sure you know.

93 is full speed density as opposed to 94 having both SD and MAF.

93 did not have any T top models

There are many more differences too.

The auto trans is electronic in 94, not in 93.

93s are batch fire, 94+ is sequential.

The brakes are slightly different.

The speedo/dash/wiring is different.

there's more, etc

So what do I need to change? Is the 93 wiring harness inside the car compatable with the 94 computer and tuning?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm wondering the same thing...
