On th base' of knowing that its not going to be a huge turnout and people that say they will show wont. Not pointing fingers, but thats how it goes.
We need to find a track within a reasonable budget if we choose to pursue this.
As for GMHTP, I stated in the previous thread that we are going to have to organize ourselfs then confront the media with the oppurtunity to get coverage.
Maybe we can find a track and piggyback our event with another one of their events.
That is a possibility I will talk to some people this weekend and see how they feel about a piggy back LT1 event. Tonys if I get a warm fuzzy from the organizers I'll pass contact info.
Contact Jeff or Angie at Thunder Racing, they have done a good bit of this kinda thing. Give you some insight I am sure.
David
Yea I have been to some of the Thunder Shootouts at NPR. Was always an awesome event. I think NPR would be much cheaper but that track is not centralized. I will call Jeff or Angie and get some ideas. Thanks David.

"piggy Backing" the event is the way to go. THen all you really need to do is get with the track and Schedule it. That is how we setup our serise at each track. This year we had grown enough to setup two seperate points serise at each track.
We have had good luck setting up stuff like this durring Test and tune days or track points event days
Food for thought

I agree, what about the Year One event? Dont know if they still even have one but they had a race a few years ago I think. If not what about 1/8th mile tracks? 1/8th is not as exciting but its still better than nothing. Also it will be good to see how many would show.

I'd love to attend, meet some people and see some really fast LT1's
I know this is probably too far East but has anyone though of Cecil County Dragway. Its a small friendly track which could possibly work. Its nothing like Maple Grove but it is still a really nice track. Just a thought.
Just ditched the T56 for a semi clutchless vertical gate shifted G-Force GF5R 5 speed with a McLeod soft-lok clutch and am in the process of assembling.

You have definitely been getting the shit end of the stick lately. I hope it works out this time around. I'd love to come up but the drives a bit too far for my schedule at the moment. I do hope we can get together in the not so distant future though.

How many are just going to show up regardless? THAT is the true answer If you are not up for a good drive you are not up for it
Well i know my car is in no way up to race in competitions (far cry from that point ). But regardless i still will attend as long as it's no farther than Tennessee. I mean anything farther than that no thanks.

I'm still working it I hope to have an up or down vote by mid next week then we can work out the details. Let me know if you have success with the other event so we don't get locked into to two!
