I agree, man just race em. Cobra or not, mustangs are the competition and the best way to find out is to do it.

mustangs are not the competion lol they are all slow as shit iv never lost to a mustang and iv raced up to the 07's and i was not heavily modified by any means, i raced an 05 befor i even got LTs from 30 roll to 100 and put a car and a half on him stock.. bottom line is mustangs are slow as hell out the factory.. if my stock 12 year old car can put a car 1/2 on a new GT thats all i need to say. Im not saying you cant make them fast cause you can but i think most of us on LS1 tech can agree Camaro > GT 9 out of 10 times

I love the BS in these threads. I just sold my LT1 car listed in my sig, but my wife still has her 06 mustang. Stock for stock a LT1 does not beat these cars unless you simply out drove someone. Even with stiff ass lowering springs bigger sway bars and 275/40/ZR18 tires this car is .3 and 6mph faster than my LT1 was when it was stock.

My Wife says that it was only 5mph more. Weather was hot when both cars were ran but I never compared the DA. Camaro was an A-4, Mustang is M-5. It surprised me to. I'm Not a mustang fan. The point is they are faster than a lot of people want to believe.

Depends on what kind of DA you are running in..
Usually between 104-108, but again depending on DA could be higher. That is about average for the mustang though.. And the mustang being an m5 and the camaro being an a4 explains the larger difference in trap speeds.

my bird when it was stock was right at 100 trap speed, and ran 14.2-4's and doesn't 60' for shit. I still haven't ran a '05 or newer yet either, but diesels seem to try all the time though, wth?
