Default *PICS* Lt1 Hsr Design

These are pics of the mule we've been working on. This particular intake has no port work. It is the design we will work off of. The final product will look a little different. pics-lt1-hsr-design-1.jpg
This is the plenum with the bolt provisions removed. It really opens it up.
pics-lt1-hsr-design-2.jpg
Just showing you the height difference between the two.
pics-lt1-hsr-design-3.jpg
Example of how the runners change shape which is key to better #s
pics-lt1-hsr-design-4.jpg
We took a lot of extra aluminum off to make this a true air gap. There is a good amount of welding involved but I think we have it down to a science now.
pics-lt1-hsr-design-5.jpg
We were going to paint it but you cant see the welding detail when it is.

The area in the front where the thermostat sits can be taken off. But it will cost extra $. We will have to cut it off then machine it down. I guess we can leave that as a option.

Not sure. We have some other tests to run first. Soon as we can get the L98 versions done with for some customers we will know for sure.

Oh man that looks hawt, I cant wait for some initial #s from the test runs. If it all looks good, this might be going on this winter along with some LE2 or LE3s...

Im pretty much sold as long as it gains something (and we know it will).

I could certainly understand the hood clearance but what about the fitment of the rest of the equipment such as the elbow and air intake?

Yes, there will be provisions for PCV valves. Not sure on costs. We may get discounts for ordering XX amount of HSRs and with the new plasma cutter, it will also shave some time off the job.

The elbow will fit fine. Now is the air intake filter inside of a housing?

GGPC you said these were going to be custom tailored for applications correct? So if one of us B-cars wanted to buy one, we could potentially have a longer runners/larger plenum(sp)/etc since we have more hood clearance?

That is correct. We will leave the runners as long as humanly possible.

very nice, i got the regular HSR on my 383 and so far its running pretty good. Cam is only 230 degrees on the intake and i ran 11.53 at 118 in the summer heat so far. Car isnt launching all the way yet and its undergeared. should easily go 11.3's in the cool air at over 120

Your modded intake looks amazing! got to cut down on the huge heatsoak problem with these manifolds. i made 392whp on my 10th pull with coolant over 205 degrees. more in it for sure

I was skeptical at first, but now with the pics I am sold.

Will be following your progress and plan on topping my stroker with one of those. Hopefully in red

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the pics. You've mentioned that an FI version will be of significant benefit?

sweet. Is this going to be a wallet-buster intake or do you think you'll have a "standard version" that you'll sell alot of and leave it open for customizing at the added expense?
