Default Goodbye Opti! LT1 runs w/ coil packs and LS1 PCM.

"EFI Connection was able to get the LT1 running with coil per cylinder using a 2002 Camaro/Firebird PCM and calibration in July."

Need I say more? Post #50 on page 4 (last page).

So, if the LS1 is touched by god, and we can run the LS1 computer, does that mean we've been touched by the LS1? >_>

(To think, I litterally stumbled across that link while googling)

This shall be worth watching. The LT1 coil near plug ignition, not the touching part.

i said that it should hav ebeen possible over a year and a half ago...but every1 said it was stupid...i thought it was a good way to use coil packs ect....only thing to get arounnd if the crank/cam sensor which didnt seem that hard

my question is id like some1 to stick a big cam in a lt1 with ls1 pcm and see how it drives and idles....the lt1's seem to drive and idle much better than cammed ls1's

Well if this is true, and then you use the LS1 MAF, then LT1 guys can finally easily run dry Nitrous kits.

Looking forward to seeing how this progresses. Afinal elimination of our weak link will be nice. I'll still hide the coils though. I wanna keep it looking TYPICAL SBC/LT1.

I have noticed this too but at the same time the observations Ive made have way too many variables for me to just jump to that conclusion. Cam specs are just one of them.

Read the thread I linked, it pretty much answers that.

Wow, that is pretty neat. Very unique idea to get the coil packs.

Thats the biggest benefit I see, HPtuners is leap years ahead of Lt1/LS1 edit. But i wont get excited until I start seeing kits out there, which I doubt will ever happen.
