It is literally the size of a actual pool table ball. I like it. Just not when it get hot.

I have the Cue ball in my car, but in black.

For those of you that have it: Does yours rattle obnoxiously?!?

Mine after like the first 200 miles started to rattle. It's bad enough that I CANNOT drive without my hand resting on it.

Just got the knob in today, it feels pretty good. I think 2" would have been perfect but it's not bad. I never realized how much the leather knob supressed the vibrations and feel of the shifts. It feels so much more solid now, I love it. One question for you guys running this knob; do you all have short sticks? There is so much of the handle exposed, I don't know if I can get used to it.

Some quick pictures for those who are interested.

Yes, it is the same size as a cue ball ha.

Look how much is showing!!

That looks terrible, how far do the threads go into the ball?
Also what shifter is that?

Looks like a ripper, I am running the same set up if that is the shifter you're running.

Mine came with a lock nut that hides alot of those threads, did yours not come with one?

Keep us updated on whether or not yours starts to rattle.

Pro 5.0. The threads go all the way down, it tightens exactly where the pattern is supposed to go.

It came with the lock nut but there's no need to use it unless I wanted to cover some of the threads. I'll let you know if it starts to rattle.

Not sure what to do, I don't want to run a short stick or cut threads off the handle.

Does anyone know if I can buy the Hurst handle? I just saw their shifter in the new GMHTP, that would look sweet.

Hello
I noticed that you are looking into a aftermarket shifter. I just wanted to leave you know that UMI Performance has a few different Pistol Grip shifter handles to choose from. Below is a link to show you what all we have to offer!

http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...ex&cPath=7_109

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help!
Thanks
Brad

You can safely cut 1" off the Pro 5.0 stick, that's what I did with mine years ago.

I know, I just don't want to. Even if I cut off an inch it would still look like crap. I just ordered the Hurst handle, it should make it look a lot cleaner.

Thanks.

before i installed my ripper shifter, i had a stock 2005 GTO shifter. it owned. it was almost as good as a shortshifter and looked excellent. I dont have any pictures (sorry) but it was also super heavy which made it easier to shift. all you have to do is unbolt your stock stick and install the GTO knob and stick and it knock about 2 inches off of the stock height and looks bad ass
