Default Were is the speed sensor located?

I just finished my clutch install thursday.

And my speedometer isnt working..

I double checked today to make sure everything was plugged in underneath...




Any Idea and what happend?



did a pinch a wire or is there a sensor im not seeing....

Yes Im going to assume its in the same spot as all the other T-56 cars and go from there...

Any idea on what may have happend ?

Is it possible the sensor just happend to fail ?

The CTSv VSS is actually on the RHS of the tailhousing, not the LHS like the Fbody units.

Its located on the drivers side of the trans, (f body) single bolt holding it in. I messed mine up one time installing a torque arm, somehow got in a bind on it and bent it, it didnt look broke at all, but my speedo wasnt working. Got a new one and fixed the problem

k thanks , which one is it ?

the one with the two orange wires or the one just before the drivesaft ?

The VSS is back on the tailhousing (by driveshaft). The front sensor with the wires is the Reverse/Backup sensor.

Looks diffrent in the autozone pic online but that could be wrong..
