Default chevy t56 to sbf

my friend wants to put a 6 speed in his mustang and the cobra ones are kind of hard to come by compared to the chevy ones. they make a bell housing to adapt a small block ford to a viper trans and i was wondering if the input shaft length is the same, along with the bell housing pattern.

It can be done with the right conversion parts but its not cheap. Depending on the year of the car, the speedo will not work either.
