Default Master Cylinder Install Question *NEED HELP*

Hey guys,

I am installing my 01/02 master cylinder and i am having some diffculty.


How do I remove the metal plate to get to the star washers?







Im at this point now and have no idea how to remove the plate.

Anyone have any idea?

Its in my driveway right now ...

Pry the star washers off. They will brake, but not needed. Just for factory installation use only.

You have to darn near be a contortionist to get it back in, heck taking out the front seat (4 bolts) would make it easier!

BTW - for anyone who sees this in the future - that plate that goes over the two U-bolts (what I originally made this post about) must be removed by force and some tricky angling. It takes some time getting off and putting on, but is removable.
