Default How much play do you have in your clutch peddal?

I recently installed a Mcleod clutch and master cylinder. I have much more play at the top of the peddal before it starts to put pressure in the line. I would say maybe 1.5" or more. If I adjust the rod out until the peddal is at the top of its stroke the slack is mostly taken out, but then it engages WAY at the top of the stroke. The feel of the master seems to be acting up as well, after a week I have to adjust the master again for some reason. No fluid loss. I know for a fact the system is bled.
