Default spec stage 3 or 3+

hey eveyone I was wondering which clutch is better ive been told so many different things dont know what to believe anymore. I was considering the 3+ but then i called amber at t56 rebuilds and she said to get the stage 3, and that the 3+ was having proublems. By the way im putting down about 500 rwhp and plan to put about 550-600 soon if that helps decide which one is better for me.

weird, i heard the opposite of you, the 3's were having problems and all they carry now are the 3+??....

either or, i had a spec3 and it was one of the many that pooped out...i'de go with the 4 or 5 because they don't have the springs in the center

No spring=no street driving

you will burn that up in a few thousand miles if you try and modulate the clutch to be smooth the springs alow smooth engagment of the clutch I have a spec 3 and it is great if you need the extra holding power go 3+ I thing with your power level go 3+

Your clutch went in 5k miles so you ordered another of the same brand? WHY?
I just had a SPEC 2+ go out in about 2k miles, and I've already got a Ram HD sitting here waiting to go in tomorrow. Screw that. I gotta call SPEC to see how they're gonna fix their junk but I doubt they'll do anything.

Re-read what I said in previous post......stage 3 stock motor(works fine)..stage 3 on motor in sig is fine until you get on it....stage 3+ is a completely diff clutch and has better drivability for a DD with the HP that I have...also, Spec is fixing the stage 3 at their cost -shipping and I already have it sold for $250.00 with a turned stock fly wheel.

I have the Spec 3 and couldnt be happier, it sees about 450 rwhp and has had about 5 or 6 track passes with a 9" and MT Radials and there is no chatter or slipping. I've put about 5,000 miles on it and the car is a DD.

*N4cer removes foot from mouth*

Turns out the clutch and pressure plate are great. It was the pilot bearing. The needle bearings had fallen out and were chewing my input shaft ever so slightly. Not enough to do anything other than groan a lot. Thankfully.

My Spec stage 3 has been in for a couple years now, several thousand miles, and 500+ rwhp with no problems.
