| Short stick shifter positioning? Mine is nowhere near center. I have the Speed Inc stick, and to go into reverse, it touches the console. Is this normal?

| Doesnt sound normal. Do you have any pictures of it?
Could it possibly be that your console isnt aligned properly?

| My WS6store short stick is nowhere near center either. 1st gear looks like 3rd gear. I've gotten used to it. But I have never hit the console in any gear, and I have the factory Hurst base. I thought I read somewhere on this board that most short sticks hit the console if it did NOT have the factory Hurst.

| You're right SweeTbone, the stock factory hurst should not have a problem with a short stick as far as being centered. I take it the short stick is straight (not angled to the driver's side)? If you have an aftermarket shifter, namely the Pro 5.0 shifter, you need to get a short shifter that has an angle ~60 degrees towards the driver's side, otherwise your stick will not center correctly and hit the passenger's side of the console when you go for reverse or 6th. You probably don't have a stock shifter in your car.

| I had the same problem. I just made a spacer for it, and it is now in the correct position. |

| Did you guys install the short sticks on the correct side of the shifter base? It almost sounds like you put them on the pass side instead of the drivers side. Just wondering.

Just wondering. | I was thinking the same thing. I got a short stick of ebay and it comes with a metal spacer, i could see if you put if on the pass side then it would defently hit. but the way i have it in right now it is dead center. |

| I got the angled stick from byunspeed and it definantly changes the location of the stick but I got used to it and it does'nt hit the console anywhere. by the way i have the non-hurst factory shifter.
