Default 6th gear problem

I have a T56 behind a 5.3L in a 92 full size truck.
The transmission shifts great except that when you shift to 6th gear.
It feels like it goes in fine but if you let the clutch out quickly the tranny jumps out of gear.
If you release the clutch slowly, it usually stays in.
Once it is in gear, it stays, for as long as you want.
It seems odd that a 6th gear would be a problem, when all the other 5 are fine, but something is not exactly right.
Am I on the right track thinking it is a syncro?

I have searched and it sounds like a synco, but just wanting some advice from you guys on specifically what is going on with my transmission.

I have 4.56 rear gears if anyone wonders.

Thanks in advance

Eh...EDITED...Guess I'm wrong maybe?

Check the bolts that keep you from overshifting the gears... sounds like it's set to tight. Otherwise, bent shift fork?

I had a transmission do that and it was a bad synchro. It would just pop out of gear even though it went in fine. Once I let off the clutch it would snap the shifter back to center. Thankfully it was under warranty and the dealer replaced the synchros. If your warranty is up, talk to a shop. T-56 Rebuilds is having a sale right now. I saw that yesterday.
