| High RPM vibration I get a light vibration at rpms in excess of 4k, It has been doing this for about a year now so I'm starting to wonder if it is the tranny, wouldn't it of died by now?
I have a SPEC 3 clutch w/SPEC steel flywheel, which besides occasionally giving me fits on getting the car into a gear from neutral it works fine.

Also, I recently discovered it does it while revving the car in neutral as well.

| What transmount are you running? Also crawl underneath and check out your torque arm mount for cracks. A failing pilot bearing could also cause this because the mainshaft of the trans spins inside that bearing. In my case the bearing was completley gone and I would get bad vibrations above 4k even with the stock clutch setup.

| I have just a rubber trans mount. If it is the torque arm mount it will be fixed when I throw in the new torque arm and mount Sunday...but I don't see how it could be, because it vibrates in neutral with or with out the clutch engaged.
Thanks for the reply.

| Oh it does it in neutral as well. It could still be tranny mount although very unlikely in neutral. Being that it is a 96, motor mounts could also be and issue but I would never rule out the possibility of a blown pilot bearing.

| Take a close look at your crankshaft balancer for abnormalities. The steel flywheel a recent install? Maybe threw off the engines natural recipricating balance. I have accually purchased and installed an aftermarket flywheel that had a bad balance. |
