Default should I buy a new master cylinder?

Well I'm changing out the clutch, slave, and flywheel. Going with the LS7/LS2 for now til' I go up in power & rear end then I'll get the Tex or Twin McLeod.

Question is, should I get a new master with it? I'm not sure if the person I bought it from upgraded it or not (since he put a Centerforce dual friction in it). The pedal is very stiff and shifts hard. So do I really need a new one?

about 101k. I just don't know how to tell whether I'll need a new one or not. I'd just go to O reillys or AutoZ and buy a new master for the 01-02 models but it wouldn't hurt any to save a hundred bucks!
