I apologize about the delay, it's been one hell of a week out here!
I've been looking at the forum for a few months. I seriously considered the LS7, but ordered Level II Monster last week. Car will go down the track on occasion. Arrived Saturday <TWO days shipping instead of one ;-) >
Installed Monday and drove it a bit. (< 50 miles). Pedal still engages close to floor, but ... NO CHATTER - NONE - not even a hint. Granted, I don't have big power 316/325 RWHP/TQ no mods, but very happy so far. Thanks Eric. Seems to have totally stock feel so far. I'll keep y'all posted.

2002 SS 35th LE Vert (OK, Moble 1 and K&N only) Yeah, It's been down a strip.
when i raced formula 2000's we could do pretty much cltuchless shifts and if we did use the clutch we would BARELY press it, like literally just tap the clutch like 5 or 10% of its travel super fast in between shifts, the shifts where so fast it was just like BAM next gear BAM next gear, there would almost be no pause between gear changes and acceleration. Of course this isnt the most easy to drive clutch style for the street, and unless you were going flat out, it wouldnt be the easiest and smoothest to drive either (although not horrible either), but is there anything like that for these cars?
Same for the shifters, some super short shifter that has super duper short travel from gear to gear? Our shifters had about 1.5 inches between gears, like 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th travel at the top of the shifter was about 1.5 inches or so. When the car was stopped it would be hard to put in gear sometimes not even going in, but once the car was moving, they would just slide in sooooooo nicely, firm but not hard, not alot of effort needed, and as long as u were smooth and preloaded the shifter slightly before changing, then you could change to the next gear soo smooth and FAST.

I just recently put a centerforce dual firction 12" with stock resurfaced flywheel, pedal feel is awesome and it grabs like a mofo... may bud had the 11" and had problems the 12"
the clutch to get can hold up to 650rwhp dosent chatter it did the first 400miles. I chose it because on spray my car makes 540rwtq go i didnt think the ls7 was going to hold up plus its heavier....
Spec 3+, I used it in my 408 truck and loved it. Although i do have an LS7 clutch in my 405rwhp ws6 and its pretty nice
Dude, your car in your sig is just SICK!
Sorry for Off Topic, but his car is!

On special: 427" ERL Shortblocks only $4500 500" ERL Super Deck II shortblock only $9500
I am dangerously close to ordering a monster clutch.
I think the sale goes till the end of the month?
I am running 400rwhp/380rwtq. Mainly street driving, maybe 10-15 passes a year at the strip. Stock rear end and 275 street tires so I am thinking stage2 will do it. Open for opinions

I hate to hear that about your Spec, however, I'd recommend you taking a look at our website and shoot me a pm or call us with questions.

I would go with something monster, as they have a 12 month warantee. That being said I love my centerforce 12 inch DF. Havent had any problems with this one like the old 11 inch, and centerforce has awesome cutomer service.
But again with a warranty like that Id get a monster. and definetly get the tick adjustable master, completely changed the way the car drives!
Spec 3+ holds ALOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT thought about the monster but at the time of purchase they had just come out and didnt have much feedback on them

What is your budget? How often do you want to replace it? How important is it that the clutch grips?
For your HP level, the ls7 is more than adequate. It will handle the power, feel like stock, and last for 30K miles. It is also the cheapest alternative.
For whats its worth, I would recommend a monster clutch or textrilla for anyone making more than 450rwhp. My ls7 is WHOLLY inadeaquate for my setup.... Spray or no-spray.

500 miles and thank you very much for the purchase!
500 miles............ Thats like 2000 passes!!!!
On a serious note, it would take me 6-months to put 500 miles on my car. What are the consequences of a shorter break-in period. I don't care about chattering, but I care very much about performance and longevity?
