I got my fender/liner fixed and reinstalled so that the car is drivable now. Took it around the block and started tweaking the tune.
So far I've found that I need some colder plugs (knew that already) and that it comes into boost FAST. A 50% throttle roll in 5th gear shot me up to 7 lbs (what my spring in the wastegate is rated at) QUICKLY. Much quicker then I expected. The tune isn't real solid yet, so I got out of it quick, didn't expect that to happen so fast.
Beyond the new custom body redecoration and nasty tune, it's coming along... few more warm weeks and I might be able to get the tune dialed.
How's everyone else's winter projects going?
Be crazy to see that at 15 lbs compared to 7 lbs. Night and day difference on any motor.
Blake, any rough estimates on rwhp? I would say comparing it to my 8 psi on a twin screw, you should be in the very high 400's maybe low 500's. Is that what you were thinking? BTW, 281 c.i. + 8 psi = 466rwhp on my ford (stock everything). Larger engine with more efficent blower should net much more numbers that what i had.

These turbo cars are gonna be sick. Very hard to keep up with. On another note.. Luke, over the weekend I heard you made someone's hit list this year... I don't know what you did but he's looking for you lol.

I'd say he's WELL into the 500's, being as he was low 400's NA last year

The car was making somewhere around ~400-425 RWHP N/A (considering my performance level vs. Drew at 398 RWHP).
I'm adding ~14 lbs to that. I'm expecting high 500s out of it, maybe ~600. Anything 550 or over I'm happy.

Ohh, i thought that you were gonna run a 7psi tune. Dont be snippy! LOL,, I was thinking that at 14 psi it comes out to 2x the amount of n.a. h.p that you have at the crank
Chris, how could i make the hitlist? I've got nothing then a stock head stock block street legal tire car! So, do i know this person? And what car do they drive?
Is it Nasty? His car and mine were pretty close last year!
It's not Nate lol. I'm pretty sure you know him. How well, I don't know. He will be looking for you this year in a turbo car of the domestic kind.......

I think...I have the chart at home. But I think we raced before I was tuned...maybe even before I figured out I had a bad walbro...who knows. You won...and you're definitely the faster of us now! Can't wait for the spring!
