Eric, the wife and I do want one. But the timing right now just will not work. Today I actually get a day off, however I am usually locked away for 13 hour days for training down here. The wife works full time as well, so throw a puppy home by itself for that long and it won't equal anything good.

on another note about halls....we cannot park there, if you eat you have to eat inside, when you are done eating you have to leave....those are the new rules folks....Hamrick and i took over jiffy lube on friday...as long as we keep lot clean and no bull shit everything should be ok....there is room for 35-40 cars and there is alot of action on that courner as we found out friday night....jiffy is the new hang out for now....

D, sorry to hear about the pup man. We've got a black lab runnin around, they are awesome dogs. It sucks because they are truly a member of the family, when we had to put our last black lab down a few years back it was one of the hardest things I had to go through. Sorry again man.

Seriously though, I am kind of bummed about hearing that when I come back, it won't be as it was with Halls. Out of all the places we chose to hang out, that was probably my favorite. There were the old hot rod guys who hung out there for years before we ever decided to go there. I thought thats why they even had the outdoor drive up style slots on the side. It's sad they are ending that for both themselves and for us.

I put a call into Jeff Otto district manager of jiffy lube for NE indiana...i have known him for about 4 years now to make sure everything is koshire for us to hang...should not be a problem...

I've got my old 5.3L shortblock for sale for 100 bucks if anyone wants it. Needs new bearings throughout and the crank cut ~.010 most likely. Comes with crank/rods/pistons/rear cover and a truck intake and oil pan if anyone has a use for it.
Got some Katech rod bolts for $140 bucks if anyone wants them also. ~1500 miles on them. FWIW, as best I can tell the rod bearing failure was caused by a spun cam bearing (WTF?), not anything going hokey on the rods. No heat discoloration on the rods or crank. Pistons and cylinder walls look fine, minus a nick in one of the pistons from a valve spring break letting a valve kiss a piston (on my old heads). Please get this crap out of my garage...
