i hope im reading into this the wrong way or something darren... I just find it so damn hard to understand how your car and you seem to find every part ever produced to have issues and or problems.
he needs an auto period.

Hey, it could be worse, the cars I work on break the most interesting parts:
Mine:
Spun cam bearing
Bent transmission input shaft tip
Shifter surround cracked and dropped piece into shifter, blocking 1/3/5/R gears
Cracked 4L60e tailshaft (wtf?)
Hairline crack in rear oil gallery (my old, old LS1)
Cooling fan motor fried
Front brake caliper retainer bolt broke (was torqued to spec), forcing caliper to slide into inner rim.
Jack broke while lifting car
Drew's car:
LS7 pressure plate spring failure
Relay Failure
I mean, seriously, WTF? You'd think if I was just incompetent normal things would fail. How in the hell do you bend a T56 input shaft?

Trying a new type of spark plug. Hopefully JPH nailed it on the head. It does feel like it pulls harder, but its a lot easier to tell when you can see it instead of feel it.
There is a big SCC event at Morocco next weekend on the 11th, anybody who wants to come is welcome to join. It's a "street racing" type of event where your times will not be posted on the boards, so you can bet for money if you want too.
I'll be going to race the southbend LT1 guy for a grudge race, were gonna race n2o only, I tryed getting him to do a N/A run as well but he doesn't want to and refuses to even consider it.
Anyway, if anybody wants to go 2 a different track besides Muncie before the years over, then you should come. PM me if your down
Nick, if you haven't seen it already, here's a small taste of what your car will be like. (Keep in mind this guy is quite a bit LESS powerfull than your car will be)
I saw his 1/4 mile time on youtube. Some 10 second 1/4 at like 140+. Looks like fun to attempt to get traction in, as he was mostly spinning until 4th gear

Don't you meen you spanked a few LS1 cars this year,LOL
So who all is going to us41?
We're gonna be taking off around 8:30 that morning.
Google maps says it'll take 3hrs 8min if we take us24, or
3 hrs and 30 min if we take us30.
If we take US24 we can meet up at that BP that's right off of I69.
Just head west on US24 or Jefferson blvd. (same thing) and it'll be like a football field from I69.
Or someone else can make a suggestion.
Just throwin out some ideas.

Yessir, that is Mark aka blacksi's car, one of my favorite lsx rx7s on the road right now. And he's fairly local (Dayton, OH). IIRC it's 640rwhp and I know his best 1/4 is 10.6@140. That was with 18" wheels and BFG drag radials! There's a few videos out there of him beating bolt on/stretched 1000cc bikes and a twin turbo Cobra.

I'll be in Norwalk, otherwise I'd be down to clown
Have fun at us 41 just don't plan on getting any traction
Is it similar to muncie? take our money and not prep the track. Thats going to be great . . . . . this event is suppost to be big and have some fast cars (8sec and quicker). Lets hope they put some VHT down.
Tony, I'll meet up with ya at the gas station @24, that def sounds better than 30

I'm pretty sure he went 10.38 @ 138 mph at Indy during Winged Warrior.
I'm also in Norwalk this weekend. Have fun with the South Bend boys Chris.

I pulled a 1.34 60' testing a 26x8.5 leaf spring car there last SCC.
Uh, guys....US41 is ALWAYS better than Muncie...period. MUCH faster cars run there than at Muncie. Norwalk is better than US41, but not Muncie.

I'm thinking you need to build another car for next year Scott. The whole car scene is starting to get pretty damn boring, you need to get back into it and stir up stuff, lol. Just a thought...
