Sup guys. It's been awhile since I've been on here. I just graduated from USAF BMT on Oct 9 with Honor Graduate as an E-2. I'm now at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS for tech school. My job is Airfield Management 1C731. I should find out next week what my next base is. I already started class this past week and it sounds like it's something I'm really going to enjoy. Anyone here have that job, or work with them? They told me due to the demand this job now has a re-enlistment bonus and they are working on getting Airfield Management positions an earned FAA card just like ATC does, so I've got some benefits instore for me.

I had a blast is Tech School, just make sure you get out and do something and not stay in the doorms all the time.
We made Football games on the weekends, had a paintball tourneyment off base, pulled pranks all the time, and got in good with our MTL so he told us all the good places to hang on the weekends. Granted we were 21 so we were allowed to drink.
I had a great time at Keesler when I was there for Ground Radio tech school in 2003. Just stay out of trouble, listen to the MTL's, and conform to military standards and you will be fine. Get out of the dorms when you move up in phase too. BTW, I lived in the old 338th dorms over by the running trail and tech school still wasn't bad IMO. Don't ever complain about the living conditions in the new dorms.

Whats up!? its Wulff hows the search for the orange monster comin? Dude I cant wait to get off this dam base and wear some civilian clothes! How long until you guys phase up?
I work with them a lot. Depending on the base, you'll have enough time to do school so please make sure you get on it as soon as you finish your CDC's at your first base.
Keesler sucks! I am 1c3x1 and was there 2 and a half years ago. You'll prob be called a poptart prob cause how short your tech school is. Post up what base you end up going to. I'm at Luke
what are CDCs? (jk but we dont have them as the extensive OTJ training) good job in basic; graduated honor grad as well...your career field gets on our nerves...ATC guy here...you guys have a zone A re-up bonus I think...not bad as most dont offer any for any of the zones...ATC has some sick bonuses Zone A=6 Zone B=6.5 Zone C=6...go ahead and fail outta base ops and retrain to ATC you wont regret it
Keesler lol I had a blast going there, granted I was retraining and didnt have to follow the "traditional" tech school rules LOL no dorm room for me stayed in a hotel off base and got paid bank for it..
Biloxi is an ok area if you find the right people and can get off base. there is a local site there as well i think it is like redline.org or something like that, few good people on that site. dont think its still open but you might be able to check out the Gulf Port dragstrip as well not to bad of a track...

SAVE YOUR $$, SAVE YOUR $$, SAVE YOUR $$!! i have seen to many kids join up and get kicked out because they didn't manage their money right. having a passion for cars is great, among other things but can cause trouble. i'm guessing you have the quest for more power? it might cause you to make quick decisions with out thinking things through that might cost you more in the long run. if so, i think it will be worth 10x more for you to wait the long 4or6 years you signed up for (which will fly by) to find out were you're at and were you want to go. getting ass in debt and forced to sell those possessions you love for making hasty decisions is not what i wish for any young American signing on the line. a guaranteed pay check is great! but saving for the future should be #1, living in the now is fun but, if not prepared will bit you in the ass....

I'm on my 3rd week of school and so far doing great, I love it. I found out I'm assigned to Little Rock, AR. I got a friend there from high school, so i'm happy with the assignment. I've almost got an 01 SOM WS6 lined up, if the guy still wants to sell. It'll be mostly paid for due to the money from my old wrecked TA, and I'll be able to swap my old motor over.

Congrats on graduating basic training man. I heard that Keesler isn't too bad. I just graduated from tech school at Sheppard AFB myself. That place sucks balls, lol.
I'm currently stationed at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana which isn't too bad I guess. I have a few buddies stationed at Little Rock. They say that the place to go is a town called Hot Springs. That's where all the chicks are, lol.....
Good luck in the AF man!!

I was at Keesler in 02-03'. I enjoyed it down there, now you guys got 2 hooters restaurants instead of just one. Yeah, sometimes you run into pricks around there but you got to remember a lot of them are out of towners there for the casinos.
Def go to New Orleans for mardi gras or Florida...
Good luck on the assignments i would try to get overseas if i were you...
