Wow it took new turbos and a full exhaust to run even with a C6Z.....

Bet they can drop another few 10ths off that time by going to real rims/tires.

Ummm. its using the stock turbos. The term GT570 means the hp it is making. Not bad for a car with your basic boltons

Oh ok, I get it now. I'm just used to the Garrett turbo numbers that start with the GT. Found the kit they are talking about though it consists of,

  • HKS aluminium hard pipe kit for R35 GT-R
  • HKS silicon hose joiners
  • HKS wastegate actuators for standard R35 GT-R turbos
  • HKS Electronic Valve Controller (EVC) boost controller
  • HKS dump and front pipes (delete all catalytic converters)

Plenty of companies are making over 600hp:

Amuse
HKS
Cobb
Sp Engineering
Mines
Greddy
etc...

I think the trans issue is way over hyped considering there are less than 5 confirmed cases over a period of 8 months and 4k + GTR's sold.

With those minimal boltons, I cant wait to see when an intercooler, ecu and turbos start to play a factor.
