Why don't you race cars with the same amount of power as you??? It's not hard to beat a 500-550fwhp car with almost 800fwhp.

haha who cares. That evo is badass. My bro used to have one that put down almost 450 AWHP and wow, was that a fun car to drive. Im sure the other car wanted to run him in the first place. Either way, I have always delt with people that i knew had a slower car, but would race them anyway. Guess what, they never bothered to race, or ask to race me again. haha

The red camaro was a stand in. He was one of the quickest cars present at the meet, which is why he raced the Evo. The original scheduled race was against a 9 second turbo F body but he was a no show.

See now that would have been a race. I mean come on, a 40psi evo. That's top fuel boost levels. They run either 8.0:1 and 45psi or 8.5:1 and 40psi. That evo is fast that's for sure. Let's see it go fast w/o boost!

He called me out, I wasn't looking for a race with him. He wanted a shot at #1. Also, it's 700 and AWHP not 800 and FWHP lol

actually that turbo f body went high 8's at 155, and I've already beat him on the street too.

I stand corrected. I was just going by what I had seen in person.

I probably should also mention that when I beat him I was on 93 octane at 30psi and 600awhp the way I drive it to work every day, instead of Q16 @ 40psi and 700awhp and better tires.

I can't find the current video but here's the old one:

So wouldn't 700awhp equate to roughly 800fwhp??? And if the guy called you out he was a dumb ass. You gave him the whoppin' he had coming!

I wouldn't call him a dumbass, he just wanted to see what he could do. Anything can happen on the street.

zac there are only a handful of cars in this area that can put down the numbers mellon does on the STREET... of course there are some that would kill him at the track but they an't hook on unpreped surfaces... the guy in the camaro called him out just to see how well his car stacked up to mellons and if i can say so myself it did a good job to keep up at top end because he has to launch gently to keep from blowing the tires off... i think it would be closer on a track, mellon would prolly still win by a few cars but it would be a lot better race, but they're not on a track

Actually that car's fastest official time is 10.9, but like I said earlier, anything can happen on the street.

the camaro went 10.8 @ 126 IIRC
I went 10.41 @ 135 (about 100awhp ago with the old tire/wheel setup)

"and if i can say so myself it did a good job to keep up at top end"

lol, dude are you blind?

that car is insane and most likely wont be beat, due to most 800+ RWHP cars never hooking on the street.

So this is what you ran at 600AWHP

which is the same power that you were putting out when you ran an 8 second trans am that trapped 155mph and in that race with that same trans am it looks like you take him out of the hole as expected and hes barely catching up to you throughout the run.

Hmm with a 20mph difference in trap speed he wouldent be slowly pulling you like in the vid, once he got some traction you should have gotten YANKED and that didnt happen. A good example of such is like what you did to this nitrous camaro.

Good job btw

yes, 600awhp on 93 octane = 10.41 @ 135 powershifting on drag radials...I used that same tune/technique vs the 8 second 155mph race car on the street which I beat. He was hazing the tires at least to the 1/8th mile so I doubt he got to 155mph during that race.

The camaro in this video runs high 10's at the track and trapped ~126 for his personal best. to make matters worse, I was on race gas and 6-10psi more boost, roughly 700awhp and I was on better tires and lighter rims. However, I was granny shifting since I was so far ahead.
