It doesn't prove the vette in the original video was spraying though.
Though, the stock GTR pulled around the rental vette without spray in under an 1/8th mile which makes the original video seem fishy.
Plus, both cars are autos in both vids, so the OP's video doesn't make sense...

Oh well
There's a thread where the Vette driver admitted the GTR was heatsoaked from running the Lambo previously. I'll see if I can find it.
The funny part about this is that the GT-R is a no excuses car...you can't claim bad driving because the damn car doesn't even need a driver to be fast, you can't say he blew the launch because it's AWD and the car launches FOR YOU. Not only that, but the LS3 KILLED the GT-R...it wasn't even close. Whether or not that vette was spraying, that's still a huge embarrassment for a car that's supposed to be faster than a Z06.
Does this prove anything? Not really. But it does add alot of ammo to the argument that the GT-R is not the car that Nissan and it's fanboys want you to believe it is.

You still need to paddle shift the car accordingly. Secondly, as I mentioned before, the GTR was heatsoaked and ran a Vette that was on nitrous.

A monkey can be trained to paddleshift. I do think the vette was spraying but not much (100hp) Even if he wasnt spraying though it would have been close GT-R I think is a badass car and I would love to have one but highly over hyped by all the little import dueschebags

The argument that a RENTAL Vette was on nitrous is a bit hard to believe. Second, I don't care if the GT-R just came out of a blast furnace and the Vette was spraying a 200 shot on a stock motor...the GT-R STILL should not have lost that big.
If you find paddle shifting to be at all a challenge, of any kind, well then I think you are out of your league on this site my friend.
what proof do you have that its even the same car??? all of Hertz's Vettes are yellow with a black stripe...what are the odds thats the exact same car??

Now that I had some free time, I actually watched both videos and payed attention. It's definitely not the same car in both videos...the vette with nitrous had clearly visible trigger and purge wiring on the dash which is absent in the airstrip video. Furthermore, just because one guy rented a vette and put a $300 nitrous system on it to win a bet on a TV show, that doesn't mean ANYONE ELSE is EVER going to do it.
Geez...the GT-R lost to a stock rental vette. Just admit it and move on, it's not the end of the world and it certainly doesn't prove that the LS3 vette is faster than the GT-R.
