and some of the car now that were taken by his wife
it took a lot of work to bring that thing back. runs high 9s on the squeeze. but now you really cant tell it was damaged unless you look up close at it. and since this the motor was pulled and is getting swapped for a big block

1989 GTA, bought from the original owner in 1997 and was an L98 automatic but now has a stockish 3.8L Turbo and runs 10.50 @ 128mph on C16 and 11.06 @ 120mph on straight 93 octane. Was also featured in the May 2007 issue of GMHTP
TTA#124, 1 of 187 cloth/t-top cars built and is also Indy Festival car #96. Went through a mini frame on resto right before the 2009 Hot Rod Power Tour and will be at the T/A Nats next week.
TTA#850, 1 of 1,324 leather/t-top cars built it's a bone stock 62K mile car that I've had scince the late 90's. Was on the cover of the Dec 2005 issue of GMHTP and scince then has gone 13.37 @ 103.85mph. Not bad for a stock 20 year old V6
TTA#884, 1 of 15 cloth/hardtop cars built. Drove it home from Reno in 2002 and is stock with 52K miles. The sun out west wasnt too nice to it and the paint is a bit faded and will get a repaint but for now I just enjoy owning/driving such a rare car.
Hope you guys like, I'm new to fourth gens and this site but been around thirdgens as long as I can remember.
Steve

Man...This thread is REALLY making me want to re-paint my 86.
Here's my 87 before it was wrecked in a chain reaction wreck.
And my current car...the 86. Garage kept all its life, til I got it. Now the clear coat is waving bye bye since it sees the sun so much more.
I have about a 50/50 blend of 4th gen LS1 parts and 3rd gen original parts...and its fantastic...IMO of course.
I want to re-paint it soon...trying to decided between a dark blue metallic like original, or going back to black. Nothing is sexier than a deep black thirdgen TA..again, just my opinion.
