I know exactly how RedZ32TTBB feels. Since I own a 91' 300ZX and people have ripped on me for owning it. Some people are members of this forum simply because they like all cars. I just wish people could grow up over stupid shit like this.

the TT name is just that...a name. the idea was scrapped 3 years ago. but if it would make you feel better sweetheart, i can change it for you?? yes...its an 11 sec car...do you see any huge slicks under the car or a 12 bolt for that matter??? its not a track car nor is it drag raced....and i never claimed it was or claimed i was fast.

BTW..not that i have to justify this any further but the 11sec time slip...it was cam only (224/224) with a 150 TNT kit 2 years ago. this new set up doesnt have a time yet...but it may be like .1 or .2tenths quicker...

And like Supra's, having tons of HP or boost doesnt mean you have the faster car, even if you have 50-100+ more hp then your opponent.
Just to let you know, I like the 300Z's. But they need more HP then an Fbody to run similar times in the 1320...
So when you gloat about all this HP and stuff, you have to know its going to push some buttons here on LS1tech.
And I read the entire thread and I know you didn't start it and I think you have a good respect for all cars, but a 400hp Fbody would most likely murder a 400hp 300Z.

Just to let you know the LS1/SS Camaro does not weight 300 more pounds than the 300ZX TT. They both weigh about 3500 pounds without a driver. The Z is a little smaller frame but also has an iron block motor, compare to the lighter aluminum block on the LS1. The 300ZX also had the additional weight of the turbos , intercoolers, etc. It's best to have your facts straight before just saying anything. Oh and also if you are gonna tell someone what you would do if.....blah blah blah that happeded to you, of course I'm gonna call you out. I even threw in "get somone in Cali" but I guess you didn't get that. You expressed your personal feelings and I only did the same.

It depends on the setup. If you're talking about the A/T with the torque converter, gears, suspension then that's true. But if you're talking about both cars being a stick then they both run about the same for hp. Quick shifting is more of a factor on the 300ZX due to the possible boost drop between shifts. Stock M/T LS1's I usually see run mid to high 13's on street tires and the 300zx is from high 13's to low 14's. That about right since the weight is basically the same and the LS1 dynos between 285-300rwhp (some a little more). The 300ZX dynos in the 250's stock.
