Here are a few pic's making it easier to understand and see what I did.

Obviously the "cat-back" exhaust pipe that goes up and over the half-shafts slides into the entrance of the "Y" pipe and is held tightly in place (but still removable if necessary) with that allen bolt clamping fixture I made.

Here is the "Y" pipe by itself showing the work done inside the pipe shaping and smoothing all the metal and the welds....

Here is a close-up pic of the final installation....

No special set-up....LOL

All of that piping I fabbed up is regular carbon steel, not Ti....I dont have that type of equipment (I dont even have a TIG yet which is on the wishlist).

Anyway, I made collars that fit snuggly over the Ti inlet that I chopped off about an inch from the body of the muffler. Then I pinned the collars so they couldnt move with a few roll pins and welded them to the outer mild steel collar (grinding the inside flush with the smaller Ti stubby pipe sticking out from the muffler so as not to cause a small disruption in airflow). Then, same as the inlet of the "Y" pipe, the collar has that allen bolt clamp arrangement to securely tighten around the mild steel outlet of the "Y" pipe....the side that enters the muffler obviously. I had to be a little creative because I had no way to weld on the Ti mufflers which definately made things a little more challenging.

The over the axle pipe is also still Ti (to save weight) but is cut and shortened to fit into the collared entrance of the "Y" pipe.....similar situation.

Thanks,
Tony
