Yeah, can't you!? I've run a few Cobras with real belt slip problems, and each time the supercharger note let me know it.
I have a 600rwhp Cobra sitting in my garage. No I can't hear belt slip.
It's difficult to detect it on the dyno sometimes even after looking
at the graph. Hearing it during an actual race sounds damned near
impossible IMO...both cars at WOT, exhaust loud as hell, windows down
with the wind whipping by, or windows up which you won't hear much
other than exhaust. Hmmmm...

I can positively identify 2 cars on 2 separate occassions where I and the Cobra driver could detect the belt slip by supercharger note alone. The supercharger whine (one ported/pullied Eaton, one KB) got a bit quieter, like you would hear with tire spin, but tire spin doesn't happen over 80MPH in either of those cars. I assumed all Cobra blowers sounded similar to them when belt slip occured - and that Cobra in the video sure didn't sound like it. But what do you expect... it IS a common Cobra guy excuse
I agree, I've been in a KB Cobra when the belt was slipping, it almost sounds like the supercharger is dying... but the RPM's still climb, it's a weird combination.

They are hearing clutch slip...not belt slip. But hey...WTF would we
know about it. I guessing "riding in a KB Cobra once" makes
one an expert.
No, no. Riding in a Ported Eaton Cobra, selling your LS1 then buying the Cobra and THEN sinking all your blood sweat and tears ( and cash ) into one makes you an expert!
I think everyone on here these days is a Cobra expert!
