VID:In Response to the 08 viper vs c6 Z06 argument
In a thread already made, everybody started arguing about the 03-06 vipers and the new 08 viper and how they compare to a c6 z06. Some people were arguing that most comparisons were invalid because one car had an intake or some other mod, which causes the car to be NOT stock. Some were saying that the Viper needed boost to beat a c6 z06. Well, heres a VID that shows a pretty good comparison of the two.
"professional" driver my ass. 12.1 1/4 mile...LOL. I have personally seen a average joe driver nail down a 11.3 @ 120 in a C6 Zo6 bone stock down to the filter.

I also saw a bone stock C6 Z06 (with paper tags even) run an 11.8 on street tires. I saw this personally at our local track. I might even have it on video somewhere. I'll have to check.
drivers sponsored by Mopar....
he looked to be driving the viper waaaay harder than the vette
as 01 said.....a c6 z06 can for sure pull mid 11's.....
seems like a dodge commercial
vipers are pos. Ive known too many folks who have crashed them for me to come to believe the car is unpredictable and doesnt respond too well as far as handlings concered. It doesnt grip the road like a sports car. But this is all IMO.
I also notice their 1/4 race seemed like a uphill battle.... maybe it was just the camera angle, but if they were racing at an uphill angle, of course having more torque is going to help out, which the viper has plenty more of.
