I like my Prothane poly mounts that I bought from the ws6store. I left the trans mount stock. I noticed minimal extra vibration after these were installed.
So you are saying a set of motor mounts dropped a half second off your 1/8th mile time? I think you're smokin some good stuff man if that were the case I am sure everyone would be running solid mounts. I agree it is all personal opinion but give this guy some credible info to make an educated decision.
Well, I am sure I wont find my slips from the track to show my differences. I am not sure if you have ever run the solids to give a credible decision that you would suggest using poly's. I have run both and I have given away the poly's to friend's because they suck. They do the same work a stock rubber mount will do. I have not changed anything on my car other than the solids and whether you believe me or not, that's how much time I dropped. I have never felt a car pull as hard. Solids in my own opinion outlast and outperform the poly's any day of the week. Guys here on tech have seen me at the track before and after my swap and even saw me do a 360 on the track after my radiator hose busted and wet my tires. I am not here to lie to the op, I was just here giving the guy my input or shall I say my opinion. To the op, whatever decision you make I vote for the solids. They last longer and outperform poly's..from my personal experience and my opinion.
Thanks! I just read that. That should help me out. I wish I would have did the mounts when I put my headers in. Now I know for next time. I have all winter though. lol
I have a 2000 Z28 A4. I already bought the Energy Poly Trans Mount about 4 months ago, now my car is in storage for the winter. So with that trans mount, I should go with Poly Motor Mounts.??
How bad is the vibration in A4's??
