Default What motor mounts do you use?

I'm going to replace my motor mounts soon. I see ws6 storehas some nice solid ones. What do you guys use and how do you like them? If I were to go with solid ones, what tranny mount should I use?

Go with poly mounts. Trans I would put a new stocker in, I have read alot of people complain about vibration from the poly trany mount. I'm very happy with that set up on my car. The polly mounts realy tighten up the moter.

i vote for poly mounts as well... i have all 3 on mine... the trans mount won't vibrate if you grind the 2 humps down to where they are flush... my car is an m6, i have heard more guys complain about the vibration with a4 cars... i would not do a poly trans mount without doing the motor mounts also... i have read stories of people breaking their trans case because the motor is moving but the trans wants to stay put and the torque eventually causes it to snap... and i wouldn't do solid mounts unless it was a drag only car

I am with everyone else on the poly mounts. I have all three on my auto and the vibration is definitely noticable but it doesn't bother me and plus I think its funny when people ride in my car and are like what the hell was that haha

Poly mounts are for sure the way to go if your not going all out racing. I know there are several guys out there running them and it does help getting the power to the ground! But again unless it's an all out car or going to be.... it will be more fun to drive with the poly mounts.

Spohn solids, BMR Tranny crossmember and tourque arm, trust me, you wont regret, and if you listen to everyone who disagrees, youll never know, the poly mount[ tranny] was the first thing i changed on my car, i didnt notice any vibes

I agree with metalmechanic, Spohn solids, BMR torque arm with cross member bolted to subframe connectors. Moser 9", This is a very solid feeling set-up. Car does not vibrate like everyone says. It's a 6-speed.

Boo hoo for the guy's running the poly's.. I have been running sphon solid mounts on all my f-bodies and have no compliants. But if you are just going with the poly's to be like everyone else then go ahead. I get a great jerk out of my car with the solids and after installing them I dropped my time from consistent 8.4 to 7.9's in the 8th. Stock and poly's have alot of twist in my own opinion. Also the car I daily drive has solids and boy do I love it! It comes down to how picky you are. Plain and simple.

So you are saying a set of motor mounts dropped a half second off your 1/8th mile time? I think you're smokin some good stuff man if that were the case I am sure everyone would be running solid mounts. I agree it is all personal opinion but give this guy some credible info to make an educated decision.

People are downing solids, but they aren't nearly as bad as you'd think. You get a minor rock, but it's far less than what you get with bad mounts.
