About 4 hp between open and closed. I have my electric QTP cutout where the plates go in the adjustable Borla system. Maybe get more HP if it was farther forward perhaps, but there is not much clearance for the electric motor/cut out pipe...
Now decibels on the other hand between open and closed....
I think having the cut out open will make me save gas because you tend to shift at lower RPM's if you are in traffic and want to keep the noise down from any under cover cops... Not sure if I would get pulled over, Harley motorcycles are louder in normal driving situations... Open cut out is definately loud (in a very sexy way) when accelerating hard...

Those are good numbers esp. without an ls6 manifold. My car with ls6 and mods in sig but on stock tune put down 340/350 to the wheels. I have a t56 in case anyone is wondering.
So I had my exhaust system put on, and had my first official tune (since I owned the car)
My results are in my signature. Are these numbers roughly what you would expect from the mods I have, which aren't many?
Max torque was achieved at 4500 rpm, max rwhp was achieved at 5500 rpm.
Air/Fuel mix is a steady 13 all the way through the rpm range.
That's great man! With an LS6 intake and ported TB you'll be pulling around 355rwhp. Have you de baffled your ram air yet and sealed it to the air box with weather stripping? Won't help you on the dyno but it'll help a bit with top end.

Lol, I put the engine HP in for comparison to the rwhp to see if the numbers I was given by the tuner were about right after the tuning... guess it would have made more sense to just type it in the message, but I was lazy and put it all in the signature to save a step. I'll remove that to avoid the ricer (yuck!!!) comparison!!!
As for debafflign the RAM air, yeah I took out the stock WS6 air lid and baffles and put the SLP lid on. I did not seal it as you noted BlueKnight, does any weatherstripping work, or is there a good one in particular which will not rip off easily?

Well, what I meant by de baffling the hood, its taking out the plastic baffles behind the hood scoops, so when you look in through the ram air scoops on the hood you can see the filter all the way under the lid. And I just got some weather stripping from home depot, it comes sticky on one side and I stuck it two layers thick to the hood. When I close the hood it seals right to the air box.

I always wondered why the top scoops were blocked... So no risk in opening them up? Just remove some screws in there? (It's 1am, so I'll look tomorrow at how they are held in place)
Thanks for the tip.

What's the risk with rain with debaffled ws6 hood? It's a daily driver and it does see rain, so what are the chances of harm because of it?

Though I drive through the valley of rice,I shall fear no turbo for torque art with me. Thy rod and piston, they comfort me.

I think there are rivets holding it on, that's what I heard. When I bought the car it was already de baffled. I have had my car for almost a year and a half. I have gone through light to medium rain and snow as well. The only thing I wouldn't do is drive through a storm where its just dumping rain like in florida or something.

I have another tip for you. Don't make a fucking thread that has results in your sig.
I can't stand when I'm looking for something and find a whole thread about it, only to find that the answer I wanted was in somebody's sig that is now different because they've done more mods or changed setups.
If you've got results or comments post it in the god damn post. Not your sig. Thanks.

Such anger in you grasshopper... Damn that rap music!
But yeah op post the results here so that this thread isn't pointless when your sig changes.
