Default C5/6 Eaton Posi

Well I know its not a "brand new" product, but it is fairly new on the market.

We just got our first new units in of the Eaton Posi unit for C5/6 Corvettes. There are a few restrictions so I will go over those. They are reported so far to not be a replacement for the Z06 Diff unit (yet). And also, they will only work with a 3.15 gear set or numerically higher, ie 3.42/3.55/3.73/3.90/4.10. Who needs 2.73s anyway lol. They do not come with those "C" retaining clips on the axles, but we can provide those or you can reuse the ones from your stock diff.

These units also come with both output stub shafts so you do not have to worry about disassembling the unit! Just bolt the gear on, install bearings, make sure your contact pattern and backlash are withing spec, and "ITS CLOBBERIN TIME!".

So here are the pics that they have for the Brochures, some real life "nudes", and the handy dandy (3 page) instruction sheet that comes with them.

Also, if you purchase one of these units, or any of the entire Eaton/Detroit line that we now carry/distribute, please do not use synthetic gear oil for them. The friction modifier is fine. But as per Eaton's recommendation, do not use synthetic gear oil.

Also as an added bonus, we are offering them in "Kit" form with gears from either GM (read pricey) or Motive, with or without full install kits with bearings, just a seal/gasket kit with bolts, or just as the diff themselves (with or without fluids). More details on that soon!

How about a price for just the unit? You got it! $779.95 + s&h!

Enjoy!

Oh yah, one more thing. It only weighs 16.6 lbs. The Gm stock unit is listed in our catalog at a little over 20lbs. To too shabby I'd say.
