Is anyone spraying a 150 shot on top of a stock bottom end head/cam car? What is your fuel set up like? How much hp/tq are you making both with and without spray.

Im thinkin about going with n20, but 608whp? With a s/c the most reliable whp with stock bottom end is around 550whp, after that its toast. So Im guessing that n20 is safer than boost on the bottom end?

we have plenty of cars running over 650rwhp for several years, one of my own cars included. you are on borrowed time, there is no doubt about it, but with the right tune it can last awhile

150 dry shot coming soon!
a stock bottom end can hold the 150 shot for a while with the right tune. The question then becomes will your tranny hold up? will your rear hold up? will your driveshaft last? will your clutch hold. A 150 shot on a stock car can break a lot of stuff. Even on a car that isn't stock it can break stuff. I blew the gears apart in my 12 bolt that has a spool and 4.33 gears.

Yeah I am going to address the rear end issue, I have actually been looking at the 9" from Midwest Chassis, looks like a great piece. Driveshaft will come as well. For the tranny I have heard that they are pretty durable. I mean I know that it will have to be addressed but I would assume the rear would be the next weak link. Clutch is going to be installed, Textralia OZ700.
I have talked to lots of people about this issue (running a LE2 kit and over 400RWHP and plan on spraying the 150 shot) and everyone I have talked to says to just make sure it has a good tune. A good tuned car will last awhile, I just hope it lasts until the 383 is done.

"For a while", how long do you mean? Im completely new to n20, I wasnt even thinking about going this direction, but the price is much cheaper than a s/c or turbo setup. Like a year or so? In about 6 months Im planning a h/c/i setup with a 12 bolt and a steel driveshaft, and while I do it Im thinking about a 100 shot. It will never see the strip, only street.

like others have said you are on borrowed time. i have about 15 hours of tuning time by a professional tuner but dont drive everywhere on spray. when i ran my first 10 second pass my exgirlfriend broke her car and we used the trailer for her car. i drove my car 40 miles to get home the way it sat at the track. TUNE is the biggest thing.
