Guys keep in mind a solenoid that does not open is usually not due to trash being in the solenoid. Trash normally hangs it open.

Normally the reason for a solenoid not opening is having bottle pressure higher than what the solenoid is rated to open at. Poor wiring connections or not big enough gauge wire to carry the amp load. A week coil, and in some cases just a Cheap poorly designed solenoid.

Forgot about this thread! I added a heavy gauge ground wire directly from the battery negative terminal to the solenoid ground wire RIGHT before it enters the solenoid. Works great at 1000 PSI even though it only needs to be at 950!

I used a 1 foot long heavy wire directly to positive and the negative during my tests. Mine opens fine at 1000 psi as well, but my kit was designed to run at 1050, and it's hot here in florida, so pressure gets to 1150 at times, hsw fails to open at 1051.I'm in the middle of a new solenoid test now, just waiting on a fitting. It's a smaller nx noid I picked up on ebay.

I'll get it shipped out NOV 9. I have a club dyno day on the 7th where I'm doing a comparo test for Amsoil between Mobile 1 and their Dominator Racing Oil, I KNOW the combo works right now so I'm going to wait to send it in until after the dyno day!

As always thanks for the great customer service Nick!

Problem is back...and worse...the grounding is not an issue, checked all connections for continuity and it's all good. Must be a weak solenoid, gonna send it back to HSW I'm sure they will take great care of me!

Meh, the season is basically over so I'll send it in, and go from there.
