He said cam sync's are "for pussies" and that "real men run bank to bank"..... f-in texas boys... not to be trusted....

I have a -11 plug in all 8 holes so don't think I can go much colder than that. My tuner draws the line on the -10's at about 350hp and we're at that now so 11's are in it.... I run C16 only in a Nasty Performance sumped tank. Aeromotive Black eliminator inline pump, -10AN feed split to twin 8AN to the back of the rails. 6AN return and running 43.5 psi of fuel pressure. 83lb injectors. My duty cycle on the 300 hit was like 58%..... plenty of power to go before it runs out of fuel.....

I'm going to see what it corrects with the dual 73 jets (we aren't going to try a 400 shot just yet till we optimize)... It should be lower with the added 25hp worth of oxygen. then i'm going to get into the power adder exclusive table and pull all the 2nd stage numbers down by whatever percentage it's pulling in high gear... should get me dead on or within 2%. We had it at three percent with the 150 shot single stage but the 2nd unit complicated it. I did see the chasing action with closed loop and how it reacts to lean/rich condition.... corrects pretty quickly but you're right alot is going on at 7K+ RPMs....

Hey...when you called way back when I was not running a cam sensor. I just recently upgraded. I would never send you a-stray bro.

Sorry Im late to the party. The ls1 guys cannot run the same timming you lt1 guys can. But our first kit has a good bit of timming but its only on by it self for under .5 .Like ATv said our 1/4 tune is under 10 for total and 1/8 10-11. We run leaner than 12.5... Don't want to scare the LS1 tech locals though LOL...

I like to put the "extra" timming it likes to get to 7K rpm in the base tune. It also likes that timming on the motor. but all our timming drops at the tbrake release and on our 2nd stage counter. some times if the track is bad ill pull extra with the time based retard.

I don't add timming back in but some guys asked how they could and with XFI you can just add the extra to your base then remove the "extra" down low with a timmer then it will put it back in. the way we run ours i would not put any back in. if it needs more up top its time for another stage.

hmmmmmmmm i'm gonna look at my setup and for now leave the timing where it is at 10 degrees for our 350 shot.

thanks for the replies fellas.... (can't say i'm surprised that your setup is leaner than 12.5:1... It isn't the first time i've heard that... we went to 12:1 on one occasion and the car lost MPH. we might try it again and look at plugs and see how they look..... I was looking at plugs yesterday and for the life of me I can't see any fuel ring on the porcelain which is weird cause -11 plugs are pretty shallow....

Maybe swtich the kits (bigger hit first) and leave the timing where you have them, the larger amount pulled on the 2nd kit even with that being the smaller kit.

That way, you're at the same timing/power size but bringing it in faster with more timing down low to get it moving.

that might work...... we're gonna play with jetting and we "might" put an 82 jet on the 1st unit and a 73 jet on the 2nd....

that fucker will move OUT with those jets... bring the 2nd on at probably like .6 to .8 if we go with those jets.....

we'd be in the single digit range for timing on those.... probably like 7 or 8 degrees total....

I wouldn't add any just yet, I'd just try swapping them around and see what happens, that might be all it needs. Plus that's what like 15 min of time? Just swap the connections with the solenoids and you're done.

If you lean it out and it doesn't pic up its normally the timming is not close yet. either to much or to little. Id lean it out( using the plug not the WB) and take 2 more degrees of timming out. then put them back in with no fuel adjustment until it doesn't pick up MPH. then pull 2 degrees and lean it out some more until it stops picking up... etc..
