Default which module should I get to pull timing??

Just purchased the 98-02 f-body kit from our sponsor, Nitrous Outlet... Also
pick up the bottle heater/bracket kit, remote bottle opener, mounting plate in boot, window switch, filters and switch plate for the ashtray..about $1375 worth of goodies...
I need to pull the timing now, I am leaning towards the Lingfelt....2 step module.. The microedge looks very nice.. I just want good electronics and would prefer not to splice into the wiring harness.. I am a HUGE fan of MSD
products but I am still running a stock ignition, so not sure if they could help..
What are you guys running?? What would you recomend?? Cost is not a priority, reliability and function is...

I was against cutting my harness too. I just said screw it and did it. I used the resistor trick and now my car pulls 5-6 deg. of timing when I flip the swith. I used a 750ohm resistor instead of the 680ohm. I ran my car with the same kit last weekend and on the 100hp pills I went 10.77@126.88. I highly recommend the resistor trick and use the BR7E NGK plugs. I want to get it on the dyno to check out my AFR and then go to the 150 pills.

the microedge doesnt pull timing. You would want the interface to do that. On your car it would pull up to 3 degrees out of the box. With a small amount of additional tuning it will pull any amount of timing you want. Unlike other products you can physically see the timing being pulled on data logs.

I would suggest using the Lingerfelter controller. It is in my opion the most reliable way. I use the Lingenfelter on my personal car. It is the easiest thing to install. It plugs embetween the drivers and passengers side coil pack connectors. It has one wire that goes to the system activation wire. It has dial indicators that allow you to pull up to 15 degrees with nocomputer tunning. It also has a built in Two step as a addded feature. Ohh And it have a 5 volt reference wire you can hook to HP tuners to varify it is working.

I have the lingenfelter unit on my car. I like the way that it just plugs in up top by the coil packs. Just ran a 200 shot on pump gas with it with no issues.

What about the MSD Adjustable Timing Controller?

Part# MSD-8680

Does it require alot of wiring and doesnt it do the same thing the lingenfelter does beside the two stage launch control?

The lingerfelter box or efi live and COS#5 are the only two ways I prefer to use.
