well i hope to have it back together by next Friday, and then in the car at some point after that! lol!!!
lesson learned.... if 3rd gear breaks on the bottle and the RPM's shoot up then it is time to pull the motor and replace pistons!!!!

building a lsx block 4.185 bore 3.62 stroke 398 for the street race class in the nmca but many people are telling me that i better bring a head gasket for every pass if planing on spraying the 98 jet with a single nozzle what do you guys think will be using commetics and edelbrock heads and a flat top piston

Wrong section dude, start a thread about it.
But while I'm here.....
I think the bigger problem will be trying to hook on the spec. tire for that class
With 6 heads bolts and the right tune up it would hold IMO.

My final best for this season was a 8.92 @ 156 not much of an improvment but better than my 8.95.BTW this is with my old cam and intake setup the new stuff just never made a clean hit with the couple hits we were able to do.

We went up to New England Dragway today in hopes of taking the record back and did exactly that! When we left Memphis last week we knew the car had more in it but we were having trouble with our BS3 crank trigger. So we went to Epping to see what the car could do with a new better trigger. The first pass goes like this:
video will be up later tonight and we are hoping to get out a couple of more times this year and set it down a little further. 7.9xs are going to be tough ,but I think it can be done with a nitrous car.

Thanks Man...You guys going to make some more hits soon???
We can feed off each other and get this N2O record into the 7's....
And with some luck they will slow the turbo cars down just a bit and it will be a pretty competative race next year...Assuming / Hoping it happens again.....Let's cross our fingers....

I would like to say ya, "we are going to make a few more hits". But the time has come to sell the Black Car. We are moving on to a 10.5 outlaw car. Dont have enough resources to run both cars.
Congrats again on the record. I hope you all keep it for a while.
