I could set the limiters tight and try it. So a direct port doesnt hit hard? I was wondering more about the et drag radials hooking. I have to do the mini tubs and some other stuff before I try this so dont count on seeing a video until May

If you are trying that with a plate, that's a whole 'nother world and it will hit harder and go higher. You'll have to strap the front super tight to hold that down. The 200 shot on my NX plate hit super hard and made over 300 to the wheels.
If you 200 shot makes 300 to the wheels its a 300 shot and if you were using a 72 jet making 300 to the wheels than something else was going on

I wouldn't start with a 300 hit right away, you're asking for trouble doing that. Start with 150 and move up from there..... might save ya a TON of $ in the long run.

Start low with the timing too, the ET heads don't like alot of timing that I am sure of

Good way to hurt something... I wouldn't go set it on kill the first pass, that's how people end up building new motors.

IF it hooks it will directly on the bumper! Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.(me and Shiz have both done it off the foot brake with less N20)

And it will not come down until you hit 3rd gear or let off, you will probably wreck the car.

Sounds like fun to me good luck with it.

Not if your leaving off the brake on a 300 shot.

Its too much, you'll probably hurt the motor too, the cyl. pressure of a 300 shot @ 3,000 rpms is nuts.

Wheelie bars and limiters and it wont flip over but my bet is it NEVER hooks.

I hook a 300 shot of the transbrake every time I run. You just need your suspension setup right.

i hit my car with 300 right off the trans brake. with the suspention set up right, i would yank a nice 2-3 foot wheelie, and motor it right out.
never touched the bumper.

i have no limiters

this is 250 out of the hole, trans brake, 3800 stall

300 didnt lift any higher.
hell on my 9.40 pass with the stock cube and turbo 400 i might have lifted 6" up, thats it.

my 9.0 pass same thing, 6" wheelie if that.

OK well there is NO chance his gets his suspension dailed in perfect the 1st time.

Next has been on the bumper so he has some experence.
Noyzee you've done some good sized wheelies and I'm sure you worked your way up to a 300 shot off the brake.

This guys is talking about going for 300 right away off the Brake.

I guess the Glen Burnie N20 hits harder than where you guys are from.

Oh nevermind we just dont know how to set up suspension correctly

I found that out after 1 and a half bottles through the car. Sold the heads and stepped up to some Trick flows

first time off the trailer i went 250 off the brake never drove a spray car befor in my life. hell the fastest i ever went was 10.6 then first pass i went 9.6 on 250.

with my 402, first pass out with 1 stage, 250-300 first time out. i forget now.

its alot easier to put a car on the bumper then it is to keep a car off the bumper.
Next Knows.

as for suspention, the bumper happens, but it happens when you go to far with the suspention, its tuneable.
like i said, i didnt even have limiters. still dont. that must say somthing about seting up suspention

Wayne - My "on the bumper" was only a 175 shot.

I didn't read through this and know he was asking to do it first pass. As said before - first time out with 300 is just asking for trouble. I've done this and been successful and I've done this on another setup and got hurt. I do NOT take that approach anymore. Ask yourself, what will I gain vs. lose by spraying that much first pass?

The only way that I approach new setups now is baby steps. You'd be amazed to find out how many times myself and others make partial passes to dial in a car. Tons. Seriously.

BTW - my setup = 29.5" tire, 4.00 gear and 4000 Neal Chance converter

I guess its easier when you have race car susp. parts.

Your the man Noyzee, you know all so tell this guy exactly what he needs to do. I mean you did 1st time out, its easy.

You went 9.6 first pass ever ... here you are 3 or 4 motors later and your still running 9.6
