The only way that I approach new setups now is baby steps. You'd be amazed to find out how many times myself and others make partial passes to dial in a car. Tons. Seriously.

BTW - my setup = 29.5" tire, 4.00 gear and 4000 Neal Chance converter
Thats all I was trying to say ... start small and work your way up.

My bumper dragger was on 100 DRY & 150 wet in at 6200rpm

nice bashing clowns

The only thing I am worried about is the cylinder pressure of a 300 hit all at once. Since it is a street car I might pull a few degrees for a 100shot and have the directport 200shot on a timing tuner with a delay to pull more timing. Ps I am not a pussy go big or go home

Yes it is.... its only .020 over not .030 but everyone knows them as 370's so I put that to keep from having to explain that its a .020 over iron block.

Congrads! but I heard Reggie jackson ran his ...

I heard its easy too, just bolt some shit together and hit it with a 300 shot

its alot easier to put a car on the bumper then it is to keep a car off the bumper.
Next Knows.

as for suspention, the bumper happens, but it happens when you go to far with the suspention, its tuneable.
like i said, i didnt even have limiters. still dont. that must say somthing about seting up suspention

9.6 on a 250 hit out of the hole aint right. im thinking your 250 hit made 180 to the wheels. Mine and atv's used to a 200 shot actually making 200. LOL

you guys are just putting 8s on a pedestal. What do your cars run on motor? If I get close to 140mph na I think it will be easy. I think my pump gas hydraulic cam car runs pretty good on motor.

If you car runs too good on motor than its because the convertor is good for the motor and will not be on the nitrous. id bet all 4 of us have a foot brake stall between 3400-3800 worse case 4000 if its a real good convertor with alot of efficiency up top. mine went 10.4 @ 129 on the motor with the glide and a 30" tire but since i stepped the gears down it took me outof the rpm range it needs to be on the motor so id guess 10.9 on the motor now. atv's is right around there also.

BTW 8's should be on a pedestal in LSX format. at least for now. only 10 guys have done it with n20 ever! and whats there another 10 FI cars that have done it? Its hard to make the hp and not have motor issues. then once you have the hp your gona get limited runs to try to get there. then by the time you do or just miss it in noyzes case its time for a freshen up of the motor. LOL

my 250 shot made about 230 on the dyno.
my 300 shot made a little over 300. but at the time my car was also in the 3700 pound range i had a 3600 huges with a th-400

now i have a neal chance vert with the glide, and i will be bumping the rear to a 4:30 this should put me around 7500 threw the traps with my 28" tire

i must say, to hit a car with 300 puts a beating on parts, thats why my new setup is baby shots. i want to race not fix stuff.

my new setup should run 9's on motor once its tuned in, and hopefully 9.30's on a 125 shot. this sets me up perfect for my local 9.50 class, and keeps my car in one piece for more then a few runs.

im already digin the no work thing, so nice to just go and race.
put air in the tires and go.

shiz, what gear do you run?
