you guys are just putting 8s on a pedestal. What do your cars run on motor? If I get close to 140mph na I think it will be easy. I think my pump gas hydraulic cam car runs pretty good on motor.
Anyone of our cars could go 10.20 on the motor IF we set it up to do that.
8's is a WAY different set up, but I dont have to tell you that. Its gonna be a easy remember
Have you even been 9's yet?

If you car runs too good on motor than its because the convertor is good for the motor and will not be on the nitrous. id bet all 4 of us have a foot brake stall between 3400-3800 worse case 4000 if its a real good convertor with alot of efficiency up top. mine went 10.4 @ 129 on the motor with the glide and a 30" tire but since i stepped the gears down it took me outof the rpm range it needs to be on the motor so id guess 10.9 on the motor now. atv's is right around there also.
my 10.26 pass was with a 1.53 60foot the best of the day now the car is 150 pounds ligther and should make more power. The converter is setup for spray as you can tell my my slow 60

Why ask questions if you already have all the answers.
Doesnt sound like an 8second converter to me.

i hit my car with 300 right off the trans brake. with the suspention set up right, i would yank a nice 2-3 foot wheelie, and motor it right out.
never touched the bumper.
i have no limiters
this is 250 out of the hole, trans brake, 3800 stall
300 didnt lift any higher.
hell on my 9.40 pass with the stock cube and turbo 400 i might have lifted 6" up, thats it.
my 9.0 pass same thing, 6" wheelie if that.
What gear were you running then?

Lookin for crazy 8's
my 250 shot made about 230 on the dyno.
my 300 shot made a little over 300. but at the time my car was also in the 3700 pound range i had a 3600 huges with a th-400
now i have a neal chance vert with the glide, and i will be bumping the rear to a 4:30 this should put me around 7500 threw the traps with my 28" tire
i must say, to hit a car with 300 puts a beating on parts, thats why my new setup is baby shots. i want to race not fix stuff.
my new setup should run 9's on motor once its tuned in, and hopefully 9.30's on a 125 shot. this sets me up perfect for my local 9.50 class, and keeps my car in one piece for more then a few runs.
im already digin the no work thing, so nice to just go and race.
put air in the tires and go.
shiz, what gear do you run?
355 gear, glide and 30" DR we set it up for 165 MPH. hopefully soon LOL

8's are easy, what are you stupid or somthing. lol
8's were easy for me it took 8 passes once we tried. although one of those passes was on the bumper. and it did take 2 years to get all the right parts to make the power and hold togeather to go low 9's but once we tried for 8's we were there.
on my glide ,30" tire 4.10 i shifted at 7600 and went threw the traps around there.
woth the 355's at pump gas i went threw the traps around 6400. we can spin it to 8K and have been to 8400. my car is only down like 7 hp at 8K from peak of 7200.

If your hitting a 300 of the brake and running those times your car is not working right!
The car goes 20s pass after pass in this sick Florida heat. That's not right for a 300 shot fogger?
Hell, I'm first place in points in a heads up, run watchya brung series. It helps to cut a tree and get down the track consistantly. Maybe I should just keep my car slow
