1991 ZR1 motor w/ 6speed Trans MUST SEE!!
CLEVELAND PICK A PART IS PROUD TO OFFER THIS 1991 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ZR-1 5.7L LT5 ENGINE AND ZF 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION!
$$$$$9999.99$$$$$$
THIS ENGINE PRODUCES 375 HORSEPOWER @ 6,000 RPM AND 370 FT LB OF TORQUE @ 4,800 RPM!
Here is some information about the LT5:
Immediately prior to the release of the second generation small block, General Motors released a largely unrelated engine which also used the LT name. The LT5 was engineered by a team headed by Terry D. Stinson. It was an all-aluminum 5.7L (349 cu in) small-block V8, but was entirely different from any of the other Chevrolet 350 engines. The bore and stroke were both different at 3.9 by 3.66 in (99 by 93 mm) instead of the usual 4 by 3.48 in (102 by 88 mm) and it featured Lotus-designed 32-valve DOHC heads. It was hand built by specialty engine builder, Mercury Marine. This engine produced 375 horsepower (280 kW) and 370 lb·ft (502 N·m) for the 1990-1992 Corvette ZR-1. The engine was not used in any other vehicle.
Up for sale is a 1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 5.7L LT5 engine and ZF 6 speed manual transmission with 29K miles! This auction will include the engine, 6 speed manual transmission, engine accessories, engine harness, engine computer, floor shifter, and pedals!
Here is the VIN from this Corvette: 1G1YZ23J0M5800033

While you may think it too high, that motor itself can easily run for $10,000 alone and you are getting the trans as well. Considering you can't really get them new anymore (they cost $15k+ new I think) it's a fair price. Whether you want to pay that much or not is a different story. Bump for a motor that can trap 120mph+ stock..........

This is a one of a kind deal so ya it's worth the money. Have you guys ever seen an LT5 motor for sale with tranny? I highly doubt it. It's probably one of the rarest things you'll ever see on this board. Even if it's only a 375 hp motor it's something I'd much enjoy if I had the money. Unbelievable opportunity for someone here. Good luck.

We have a few Mercury Marine engineers working for us. Both from the Stillwater, OK plant. One was an applications engr the other a Process Flow engineer. The older gentleman remembers this engine at there R&D shop. His comment was, it was short lived due to oiling issues. Not sure where, either top end or bottom. But just some crazy FYI, didn't know Mercury built Vette engines. Neither were designers, just heard the local rumors back a few decades ago.

Guys,
Its understandable that this isnt your 505 HP LS7, and its not the engine for your high horsepower transplant.
These packages are HIGHLY desirable to a certain extent of people, and this price has always been brought over the years in selling these. They dont come around often, and are extremely hard to find.
The right person will find and buy this motor, for the right reasoning!

im not saying parts are gonna be easy to find, but it can be done. it would be more of a show motor for a trailer queen imo. not something ur gonna buy to beat on. its an awesome motor that would look gorgeous under the hood of any gm car.
considering what gm has done with all of their pushrod motors, id like to see what they could do if they tried to engineer another twin cam V8
another free bump for a beautiful motor

To all who feel it is necessary to drop your $.02 every time you see something you disagree with, I advise you to read and follow the rules. Especially before cluttering up threads in the classifieds here again.
