Default What kind of paint was that I saw

At the HD shop and a bike was painted with paint I could see thru to bare metal. There was no primer under the paint either. The metal was prepped with sanding swirls and made the paint do crazy things

The only way I could see this working is by using a tinted clear coat as your only finish. I dont know how well clear coat will stick without primer or base beneath it, but this is the only way I could see this happening. Well, I guess they could use candy paint without any primer, because candy paint is translucent.

You say it was the metal parts? It may have been powdercoat. A friend of mine got all the paint and texture off his calipers and put a candy orange powdercoat on it..It looks REALLY Nice!!!

I was thinking clear with paint mixed in with it.Or maybe candy. Can candy be sprayed without primer
The bulldog adhesion promoter can be used as a primer?????
