Default Aftermarket SS Spoiler fitment

Okay, I finally put on the aftermarket SS spoiler. I like the look, but it doesn't very well at all. Looks like a quarter inch or more sticking up where the old z28 spoiler was flat. Has anyone sanded one these down to where it looks decent or do I just leave it as is? I you have photos that would be great.
