Check this site out before someone hits you with use the search reply. This is for a camaro. I know a local guy did a write-up on it on here but I'd have to find it. His thread had pics also.

i have seen lots of cars with the whole ls1 front end swap but i was really just wanting to know if the ls1 fenders will work with the stock lt1 hood and bumper or if it all has to be done together

It will not work, you need the LS1 hood & nose to fit the LS1 fenders.

I don't know about the vents on the fenders, maybe a TA guy can chime in. But look at the shape of the headlights and front of the hood. That line is completely differant on the LS1 & LT1. I know you can get a 98+ style ram air hood for the LT1 body style though. But the fenders I guess I don't know what to tell you.

another thought you could if you were crafty enough cut the fender where the grills are and glass them back together

I bet they had had both fenders to work with it so it could be done.

those are clearly still LT1 fenders. the top of the LT1 fender is more of a straight curve whereas the LS1 fender kind of bows up in the middle, also the way the fender lines up with the bumper shows they are still LT1 fenders. I'm guessing the person took an LS1 style fender and placed it over the LT1 fender and traced the grill holes somehow and then cut them out of the LT1 fender, or just cut a whole section of the LS1 fender and fiberglassed it into the LT1 fender. either way it's still a modified LT1 fender and not an LS1 fender.

Here are some pictures I have saved...not sure when and where I found these. As you can see this person chopped up an ls1 fender vent section and glass it over the lt1 style. I have personally had a 93-97 fender next to a 98-02 fender and the difference is clear. The 93-97 are longer by a few inches and more slender/straight. Where as the 98-02 are shorter and more curved.

Btw if you want them for future reference you might want to save them now as I uploaded them to tinypic real quick and I don't think they keep pictures on there forever.

Ya know I think some special model of the earlier firebirds had vents in the fenders. Not sure if they were the same style of vents as the ls1 style but hmm idk. It looks cool though I think. With the hood and vents it def gives it a sweet twist. I wonder if those fenders can be bought aftermarket? You know like you can buy the z3 style vents in some fenders? I wonder if this is like get this lt1 style fender wth the ls1 vents in them!!!! Kinda thng. Hmm def cool though!!

This is what the Banshees looked like

This one didn't even get the vent. Then again, I don't really know all that much about Firebirds.
