Default superhawk hoods back?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

it's not actually made by U.S. Exotics. i emailed the seller, said they made their molds off of an original U.S. Exotics hood... very tempted to pick this up, but i'm worried about how it'll fit. i've been looking to pick up one of these for around a year now.

For the 430489029 time, DO NOT BUY THIS. It's fucking garbage, they steal molds off of alot of companies and make it from that, 99% they fit horrible horrible, im talking like cutting and adding fiberglass to make it look DECENT. You get what you pay for, superhawk hoods are $600-$800, not $300 for a copy.

I wish Roger @ US exotics was still making the superhawk hood. I don't trust people who steal designs and call it the same exact thing but sell it for less than half the cost.

I have a roger hood that fits like crap, i had to do all sorts of things to make it fit decently. I think it all depends on how that person feels that day. I dont trust any aftermarket hood.

Let us know. If it turns out to be decent, who knows, maybe I'll run the risk and pick up one. The superhawk is by far, my favorite hood for a transam.

My favorite hood as well. I haven't been able to pull the trigger on a Raptor hood because I'm always hoping the original superhawk comes back.

Do you have any threads/info to back up this claim? Not doubting you, just wondering

i have the us exotics superhawk hood. the quality of the hood is just as good as all the other hoods i've had on cars which include about 3 hoods from vfn and 2 from slp. i've got a buddy with the superhawk hood that cost 300 bucks or so on ebay and its looks bad from a mile away. its true that hoods from any company will vary in quality from day to day but this one isn't even worth the 300 bucks. < just my opinion though.

my opinion is definitely different. mainly because both of my cars have hoods from this seller, and i have never had a negative comment directed at either of them. everytime i have posted pics of the camaro anywhere online, people love the hood, my $219 hood. and in person i get the same thing. as for my ws6 hood- you'd never know it wasn't a GM hood. and the seller is very easy to talk to/ work with. AND both times my shipping prices were much lower than he states in the auction, for the camaro it was like $114 and the T/A was $126.

Why would you buy a non-functional hood? I don't get that.

READ... they will open them for you for a small fee. i dont know why they just dont do it from the get go and add the fee into the price, but i guess it probably helps sells to advertise the lower price and just add the fees. i paid to get my WS6 hood opened, as well as the camaro, which they opened and screened
