Default Body kit retainer removal??

So i buy a 1999 z28 and it comes with the stock GM body kit. Well i hated it so much that i removed it. I just don't like body kits. Well now i'am stuck with these 5 inch wide retainers all around the lower parts of my cars body. My question is how do i go about removing them and what process do i need to take to cover up the wholes they leave. Each retainer is held down by 2 rivit typed bolts that are held in place by plastic hooks. i can easily remove the front and rear bumper ones but the side skirt ones i can't. I was thinking of dilling them out. Also i planed on sanding the area were the holes were left and mig welding the sides holes and fiber glassing the front and rear bumper ones.

Has anyone ever removed this gay body kit? and if so whats the process in making it look like it never came with one.

pic with the kit

Thank you

i did. you remove it and fill the holes in the front and rear bumper with a soldering iron and abs plastic then sand filler primer and paint, on the sides you weld them shut and filler primer, on the rear 1/4 you weld little circles in and body filler, then primer filler, then paint. looks like it never ever came with one!

You should put the OEM side markers on it while you are at it.
