Default Question about running SD open loop

My car (in sig) is now used soley for bracket/heads up racing. I am currently running in SD mode but I am having trouble with sudden lean outs while idling. I think this may be from the ECU switching from OL to CL.
What I want to know is if I can run in constant OLSD.
If so, will this allow me to run leaded race fuel without issue since O2 sensors are no longer being used?

Also, while in OLSD, does PE tables still function?

Thanks,
Rick

yes, you can run open loop at all times,
yes, you can run leaded gas as long as you don't have cats
yes, PE is still used during open loop.

You should be able to tell very easily if the car is going in and out of open/ closed loop.

Now I need some help.
I have disabled close loop by setting all the enable temps to 100
Then I set AFR to 13.0

Now the car has a tip in problem. It cranks and idles fine, but on tip in of the throttle it tries to die, once passed tip in, it revs fine.

Where do I need to start looking in my program to help this.

BTW, I could not get a data log, for some reason my cable keep popping up as not detected, but that is another story..lol

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Rick

well assuming you didn't change anything else except the closed loop enable temp or you AE table, I would have to say you VE table is not dialed in very well and you have some tuning to do. Now, with that said, without a scan of some sort to see what your fuel trims were doing this is all assumption.

Yea, right now I am screwed. My scanning software is crap, and my wide band took a dive, so I am practically back to square one..

well, without a way to scan or monitor a/f ratio..........

you could try and add a little to the off idle VE table to see it that helps.

You really need to get some software on there.
