| Splitter and Difuser mod, thoughts? So, I've often liked how actual race cars looked as apposed to our street cars. 2 main bits being the diffuser and splitter. For those who don't know those terms: The splitter is the front 'spoiler' that usually is fixed on some of the sportier street cars, but also come in adjustable versions like this one for the SRT-10. The diffuser is the downward facing 'fins' on the rear bumper, I believe that pic is of a Porsche.
Now that class is over, what do you all think about integrating something like that onto our car? For the diffuser I was thinking about cutting slits in the bottom of the bumper and then having some T-shaped plastic slide in there and riveted in. Probably 4 of them in all.
Here's a small photoshop to hopefully give an idea. Keep in mind they look like ass The diffusers look like exhaust tips I colored them to help prevent that, but still looks crappy http://maxpain.lackeydom.net/diffuser.jpg http://maxpain.lackeydom.net/splitter.jpg

| Except, these cars are OUR supercars! We don't have the money to buy a Zonda And by installing something like these, I don't intend to come off like a poser. I've also thought of adding some flat plastic sheets to the bottom side of the car to drastically cut down on air turbulence, also like many supercars (and even non-euro cars) have. Theres a large area we can add something like this too from the floor pans to the 'rocker panels' from basically the rear of the front A-Arms all the way to the front of the LCAs. As well as cover most of the part inbetween except for the drive shaft area. I've also thought about going from the muffler up as well, but might use sheet metal for that area due to heat. All you'd need would be self tapping screws to hold them up, but I think tack welding nuts would be a better way to go, since that wouldn't potentially poke holes in the inside carpet.
Now I assume, much like the use of spoilers on some cars, that installing the flat pieces would also help with gas mileage due to less drag.

| wow.....someone should check the appearance sections more often. the TA splitter has be a huge topic for the past 2 weeks. he has pics of a new splitter on a black TA, and test pics on a SOM. he has also been toying with a diffuser, but it may require cutting the CETA area out of the bumper to fit/look right.
check out his forum for more updates. |

| And pics of the 6LE Diffuser? I didn't see anything on it in their forums. The splitter looks nice though, Raptor!
I'm all for offering up my car for testing Especially the Targa top!! I had wished that mod since I owned my 91 Formula 5 years ago.

| most of his threads were deleted. there was about 5 different threads going at the same time, all roughly talking about the same thing. hes compressed them down to 2 threads on this site. for more information, check out his forum. everything you need is there, perhaps the photoshops of the diffuser. |

| I went through his site's forum, they were pretty barren! Only a few threads on the WHOLE thing. That's why I posted here, to see if you meant they were somewhere else :\
Oh well
