Default 2000 WS6 Won't Start

I have a 2000 WS6 with 24000 miles on it.Sometimes, it will not start. Powers up the radio, etc, but it will not attempt to turn over. So it is not the battery.

Have any of you experieced this problem. I think it probably has something to do with the pass key, but I don't know.

I would check the key out for sure. But don't overlook the battery either. I've got a dead cell in mine and sometime it takes a few turns for it to start. I've swapped the batterys and the problem went away.

Try cleaning the passkey with alkahol then give it a shot.

Yeah see if the Security light comes on, it would be the key resonator, or the resonators on the inside of the column. Common problem with the VATS. But like JSmee99T/A said it is kind of surprising.

It's the VATS, you'll either have to bypass it or replace the ignition switch and key.
